How to Set Up a RahaKaitse Deposit as a Seller

Offering RahaKaitse protection on your listing signals to buyers that you're serious about a safe transaction — and it protects you just as much as it protects them. Here's how the process works from a seller's side.

Before the buyer deposits

When you create or edit your listing, you can indicate that you accept RahaKaitse-protected purchases. Once a buyer wants to proceed with escrow, a deposit request is created for your specific listing and the agreed price.

Once a deposit request comes in

  • You'll receive a notification with the deposit number, the date it was created, and the item and price involved.
  • Open the deposit and confirm the delivery price and any final details before the buyer completes their payment into the smart contract.
  • Once the buyer's funds are secured in the contract, you can see this confirmed on your end — this is your signal that it's safe to ship or deliver.

After you deliver

Ship the item or complete the service as agreed, then wait for the buyer to confirm receipt. Keep proof of shipment (tracking number, courier receipt, or delivery confirmation) in case a dispute needs to be reviewed. Once the buyer confirms, the smart contract releases the funds to you automatically — no separate withdrawal request needed.

If the buyer doesn't confirm

If a reasonable amount of time passes without confirmation, or a dispute is raised, our team can review the shipment evidence and the buyer's claim to resolve the deposit fairly. Keeping clear communication and documentation throughout the transaction is the best way to ensure a smooth resolution either way.
